This was a lot of fun, adorable, a bit cheesy and predictable, but overall a LOT of fun!! I actually enjoyed it even more than Bromance Book Club. And that’s thanks to the main couple, Liv and Mack, and an entertaining story with some amazing LOL moments.
Braden Mack thinks reading romance novels makes him an expert in love, but he’ll soon discover that real life is better than fiction.
Liv Papandreas has a dream job as a sous chef at Nashville’s hottest restaurant. Too bad the celebrity chef owner is less than charming behind kitchen doors. After she catches him harassing a young hostess, she confronts him and gets fired. Liv vows revenge, but she’ll need assistance to take on the powerful chef.
Unfortunately, that means turning to Braden Mack. When Liv’s blackballed from the restaurant scene, the charismatic nightclub entrepreneur offers to help expose her ex-boss, but she is suspicious of his motives. He’ll need to call in reinforcements: the Bromance Book Club.
Inspired by the romantic suspense novel they’re reading, the book club assist Liv in setting up a sting operation to take down the chef. But they’re just as eager to help Mack figure out the way to Liv’s heart… even while she’s determined to squelch the sparks between them before she gets burned.

MY THOUGHTS
Undercover Bromance just showed how much I love an entertaining story, fantastic characters, and a well written book. After reading The Bromance Book Club last year, I already knew that I enjoyed the author’s writing.
I especially like the idea of a male romance book club. It allows for some interesting sub plots, for example the way the group rallies around each other, with advice that’s clearly taken from romance novels. Not in a step by step kind of way, more like the members of the Book Club were drawing from the knowledge that comes with reading tons of romance novels. At this point the group got it down to a science, especially Mack. Of course that also makes the entire book a bit unbelievable and cheesy.
Either way, this book made me laugh out loud so many times, I actually teared up while laughing. Not every author can write dialogues as witty and funny as Liv and Mack had going between them. Their one liners were GOLD!!! The back and forth between the couple was fantastic, with Liv’s snarky demeanor and Mack’s charming personality, it all worked perfectly together. Actually the entire cast was immensely entertaining when in action. They guys were hilarious together, and putty in the hands of their women.
Moreover, the book wasn’t just about the banter between Liv and Mack or their romance.
Instead the author tackled some more serious subplots as well, like sexual harassment in the workplace. Also Liv and Mack had some baggage that they had to figure out. Some judgmental tendencies from Liv, which had their origin in her past, were to overcome. And Mack’s secret, which he carried for so long, was source for some more tension between the couple. But throughout it all, the group was there for each other.
All in all, I had a wonderful time reading this book. It made me laugh, it was entertaining, and an easy read. All major plus points in my book.
