THE FOXHOLE COURT
Neil Josten is the newest addition to the Palmetto State University Exy team. He’s short, he’s fast, he’s got a ton of potential—and he’s the runaway son of the murderous crime lord known as The Butcher.
Signing a contract with the PSU Foxes is the last thing a guy like Neil should do. The team is high profile and he doesn’t need sports crews broadcasting pictures of his face around the nation. His lies will hold up only so long under this kind of scrutiny and the truth will get him killed.
But Neil’s not the only one with secrets on the team. One of Neil’s new teammates is a friend from his old life, and Neil can’t walk away from him a second time. Neil has survived the last eight years by running. Maybe he’s finally found someone and something worth fighting for.

This is a review for the entire FOXHOLE COURT | ALL FOR THE GAME (SERIES) by Nora Sakavic
I’m OBSESSED with this series. There is really no other way to describe my state of mind. I started googling characters when I was just 30% into the first book. That’s also when I found fan art by @llstarcasterll, and from there on I was a GONER!

MY THOUGHTS
I fell in love with this story, the characters, the writing but most of all with Andrew and Neil.
The Foxhole Court is a YA novel, the first in a trilogy which is concluded, so no fear of having to wait until book 4. Of course I hope the author will write more in the future, and I’ve seen some tweets that suggested just that, but at the moment I’m happy to know that all the books have been released.
Neil is an Exy player. Exy is entirely fictional, but is being described as a cross between lacrosse and hockey, rowdy, bloody and aggressive as hell – and I love it.
Everyone on the team, aka supporting cast, is fascinating, screwed up, but together and on the field they work as a team. Their dynamics are fascinating. There are so many different personalities. So many sub plots, intricate friendships that are as volatile as they are intriguing, and so many mysteries to uncover. The book kept me flipping pages at a frightening pace. Thanks to superbly plotted story.
I didn’t even want to write a review. All I wanted to do was read the books and be left alone, I had the HARDEST time with putting this series aside.
I even went so far as to contact the artist of the fan art above, and commissioned my first piece of art, EVER!! And of course it’s of Neil and Andrew. I’m so damn excited about those two. For the first time in ages I’m shipping a couple, and I don’t regret a single thing. I’m welcoming this feeling with open arms and can’t get enough of it.
This series has my heart, and the last time I felt like this was when I read Captive Prince – it was all consuming, and that’s how I feel about All for the Game Series. Here is a snippet of how the team is being described.
“The Palmetto State University Foxes were a team of talented rejects and junkies because Wymack only recruited athletes from broken homes. His decision to turn the Foxhole Court into a halfway house of sorts was nice in theory, but it meant his players were fractured isolationists who couldn’t get along long enough to get through a game.”
Doesn’t this sound FASCINATING???????
Prepare to be wowed!!!

THE RAVEN KING
The Foxes are a fractured mess, but their latest disaster might be the miracle they’ve always needed to come together as a team. The one person standing in their way is Andrew, and the only one who can break through his personal barriers is Neil.
Except Andrew doesn’t give up anything for free and Neil is terrible at trusting anyone but himself. The two don’t have much time to come to terms with their situation before outside forces start tearing them apart. Riko is intent on destroying Neil’s fragile new life, and the Foxes have just become collateral damage.
Neil’s days are numbered, but he’s learning the hard way to go down fighting for what he believes in, and Neil believes in Andrew even if Andrew won’t believe in himself.

MY THOUGHTS
I’m still as obsessed with this series, as I was in the beginning.
The plot’s complexity has quadrupled. Every character has an agenda, and many characters have pasts that are buried so deeply under lies that each discovery only cements my belief that this series is phenomenally awesome.
The author is a master storyteller. Her way of spinning a fascinating as well as emotional tale is outstanding. Nothing in these books is predictable. Each new discovery is more outrages and in your face than the other. Throughout the first two books my jaw hit the floor countless times. The intricacies between the different plots are mind boggling. There are just some authors that are leap years ahead of others. And Nora Sakavic is one of them. This author and series deserves way more recognition than other hyped authors and series.
When you get down to it, the entire series is one long book. Raven King started exactly where Foxhole Court ended. The team finally understands that only united they have a chance to win the final match. And seeing them growing closer, socializing and spending their free time together outside of the court is heart-warming. Because I love them all, I want them to get along.
Neil, my favorite character’s journey has been heart wrenching, but I’m also so proud of him. He’s come such a long way, and his progress makes me cheer for him even more. His relationship with Andrew is as fascinating as it is mysterious. He has this unbelievable way with him, that none of the team can get even close to. Even though they constantly battle over truths, lies, and secrets, at the end they are just trying to understand the other person.
Raven King ended with two major arcs, and I can’t wait to read how these two arcs play into Neil and Andrew’s relationship.
ATTENTION: The first book is free on Amazon, the second and third costs only 99 cents each. That’s an incredible deal. Honestly it’s ridiculous. So one-click NOW!!!

THE KING’S MEN
Neil Josten is out of time. He knew when he came to PSU he wouldn’t survive the year, but with his death right around the corner he’s got more reasons than ever to live.
Befriending the Foxes was inadvisable. Kissing one is unthinkable. Neil should know better than to get involved with anyone this close to the end, but Andrew’s never been the easiest person to walk away from. If they both say it doesn’t mean anything, maybe Neil won’t regret losing it, but the one person Neil can’t lie to is himself.
He’s got promises to keep and a team to get to championships if he can just outrun Riko a little longer, but Riko’s not the only monster in Neil’s life. The truth might get them all killed—or be Neil’s one shot at getting out of this alive.

MY THOUGHTS
If you love to root for the underdog – you must give this trilogy a chance. The All for the Game series is a college sports trilogy that follows an EXY team (The Foxes) all the way to the finale of the championships. Over the course of the trilogy I fell in love with every single character (the good ones) and it was one of the easiest things I ever did.
I’m so happy that I gave this series a go.
I still can’t believe how much this series means to me. Putting down the kindle literally hurt. It was torture to have to put it down. It’s not surprising that I already ordered the paperbacks. This series has managed what many books haven’t, I’m completely and utterly in love with it. And this is just fact, but I will be rereading this trilogy again and again.
The author, incredibly talented, wrote such a superbly plotted novel (because that’s what these three books end up being, one long novel) that I have to go back and read it again. Because now, knowing what I know, I’ll see certain dialogues and scenes differently. They suddenly mean so much more to me. It’s no secret that this series was full of twists and turns. It’s truly an amazing feat if you think about all the subplots the writer was able to successfully resolve, and all the questions she answered in a satisfactory manner.
I wish with all my heart that there will be more books in this world.
Mainly because these three books encompass only one year for the Foxes. And Neil and Andrew’s relationship just started out and I’m far from done with them.
What made these books so amazing was the writing. The dialogues were smart and witty, the character development rich and layered. And the teams progress was as impressive as it was hard earned. But most of all, the fantastic Exy world kept me flipping pages and I have a new found respect for this author. There aren’t that many writers that can invent an entire sport and describe it in such detail that I’m wondering why it doesn’t exist in RL.
Huge recommendation!!
