Dev Deshpande has always believed in fairy tales. So it’s no wonder then that he’s spent his career crafting them on the long-running reality dating show Ever After. As the most successful producer in the franchise’s history, Dev always scripts the perfect love story for his contestants, even as his own love life crashes and burns. But then the show casts disgraced tech wunderkind Charlie Winshaw as its star.
Charlie is far from the romantic Prince Charming Ever Afterexpects. He doesn’t believe in true love, and only agreed to the show as a last-ditch effort to rehabilitate his image. In front of the cameras, he’s a stiff, anxious mess with no idea how to date twenty women on national television. Behind the scenes, he’s cold, awkward, and emotionally closed-off.
As Dev fights to get Charlie to connect with the contestants on a whirlwind, worldwide tour, they begin to open up to each other, and Charlie realizes he has better chemistry with Dev than with any of his female co-stars. But even reality TV has a script, and in order to find to happily ever after, they’ll have to reconsider whose love story gets told.

THE CHARM OFFENSIVE BY ALISON COCHRUN
AUDIOBOOK REVIEW
I received a copy of this book from the publisher for free in exchange for an honest review. My opinions have not been influenced by the publisher or the author.
I love a cute book cover and a blurb that makes me want to read a book right now. And if it sounds like a very cute MM romance – even better!!!
THE CHARM OFFENSIVE is an adorable romance with emotional depths and many aww moments.
And although I don’t watch The Bachelor I enjoy reading novels that focus on dating shows, like ONE TO WATCH and ROYALLY MATCHED. The drama, and the behind the scenes moments are what makes these books so entertaining. Also, I love it when an author surprises me, especially if I thought I had the story all figured out. I was very pleased with the last third of the book.
THE CHARM OFFENSIVE isn’t a typical rom-com, the author picks up topics like mental illness, OCD, clinical depression and finding ones identity, which gives the book quite the emotional depth. She does it with heart and sincerity.
Overall the book was cute, even adorable thanks to the couple. And although I didn’t fall in LOVE with them, by the end of the book I was cheering them on. Something I really loved was that their journey wasn’t an easy one. I really appreciated how realistic it felt. And it was noticeable now much heart and effort the author put into this book. Moreover for a debut novel it was really well written.
Sadly the audiobook was a disappointment and maybe a reason why I didn’t rate the book higher. Neither of the narrators impressed me. I actually got annoyed with their voices. And there were a few scenes that had me rolling my eyes and I wonder if I would have reacted the same way if I read it myself, without their voices in my head. In the end it always comes down to personal taste.
But overall, I can see how this book will be a crowd pleaser and a great book to pick up if this genre is something you enjoy reading.

Fab review
I need to read this one. It sounds wonderful!
Yeah even though these type of covers convey rom com’s, most of the time its not really the case. Glad to know that this one worked out so well for you. I love those “aww” moments though and I need a good MM romance to delve into.
Lovely review you have here!
