It’s Sunday again, how is everyone doing?
My life is slowly making sense again, although my reading has been all over the place lately. I’ve been doing LOTS of rereading these last two weeks. And I actually read and finished the entire THE OTHERS series by Anne Bishop this week, and will finally sit down and write a review about it. I’ve adored the series so much, and it’s my third time reading them, five books in five days.

SUNDAY POST #2 / IT’S LOOKING UP
I’m currently reading/listening to

Battle Ground (The Dresden Files, #17) by Jim Butcher, I finally was able to pick up the hardcover from the library. And the way the last book Peace Talks ended, had me sitting on the edge of my seat since July.

I picked The Midnight Library by Matt Haig as my audiobook. And although I’m half way through the book I don’t know yet how I feel about it. The story reminds me a little of OONA OUT OF ORDER, in the way the book is structured. Oona was broken up into different years, and The Midnight Library is broken into many different lives. And as with Oona the story is incredibly original and thought provoking. Maybe it’s giving me a little bit too much to think about. But it has amazing reviews, and I’m always interested in trying out new authors.
And thanks to AMAZON PRIME DAY I signed up with Kindle Unlimited again – YAY!!!! I can finally read all the KU books the I have been collecting over the last six month. I have lots to read. And I already downloaded the first ten books.
SUNDAY POST #2 / IT’S LOOKING UP
I’ve also added some awesome books to my tbr these last two weeks.

The Insiders by Tijan
Tijan is coming out with a new trilogy, her first traditionally published books and I honestly CAN’T wait for them to be released, although I don’t know much about THE INSIDERS, but is that actually necessary with a Tijan book? Either way I’m EXCITED!!!! But will have to be patient until 2021.
All the good books are coming out in 2021.

Black Sun (Between Earth and Sky, #1) by Rebecca Roanhorse
I’ve heard amazing things about Black Sun (Between Earth and Sky #1) by Rebecca Roanhorse, and I can’t wait to pick it up from the library.
It sounds really good, and I almost read her Trail of Lightning (The Sixth World, #1) in 2018 and even saw it on the Time 100 BEST FANTASY BOOKS this morning.
A god will return
When the earth and sky converge
Under the black sun
In the holy city of Tova, the winter solstice is usually a time for celebration and renewal, but this year it coincides with a solar eclipse, a rare celestial event proscribed by the Sun Priest as an unbalancing of the world.
Meanwhile, a ship launches from a distant city bound for Tova and set to arrive on the solstice. The captain of the ship, Xiala, is a disgraced Teek whose song can calm the waters around her as easily as it can warp a man’s mind. Her ship carries one passenger. Described as harmless, the passenger, Serapio, is a young man, blind, scarred, and cloaked in destiny. As Xiala well knows, when a man is described as harmless, he usually ends up being a villain.
Crafted with unforgettable characters, Rebecca Roanhorse has created an epic adventure exploring the decadence of power amidst the weight of history and the struggle of individuals swimming against the confines of society and their broken pasts in the most original series debut of the decade.

It’s Been a Pleasure, Noni Blake: A Novel by Claire Christian
I saw the cover of It’s Been a Pleasure, Noni Blake and knew I wanted to read it. Just check out the blurb and tell me what you think.
What if you made yourself your number one priority?
Of all the women and men Noni Blake has pleased in her life, there’s one she’s often overlooked—herself. After the end of a decade-long relationship, Noni decides it’s time for that to change. She’s finally going to prioritize her wants and desires and only do things (and people) that feel good in the moment. As she embarks on a pleasure-seeking quest that takes her halfway around the world, she discovers that maybe she can have everything, and everyone, she’s ever wanted.
Effortlessly hilarious and relatable, Claire Christian spins a fresh, feel-good tale about starting over as a thirtysomething woman who’s been living life for everyone else. A story of self-discovery for the ages, Noni’s journey serves as a sparkling reminder that life is what we make of it—so why not enjoy it?
SUNDAY POST #2 / IT’S LOOKING UP
What’s been happening on the blog
☞ I finally sat down a few weeks ago and wrote a review about one of my most favorite UF series Hidden Legacy Series by Ilona Andrews. The series is addictive and unputdownable. And perfect for romance readers wanting to read outside their comfort zone. It has a big focus on romance but also lots of action, many lol moments and a fantastic cast.
☞ If you are like me and love making lists, especially book lists, check out my list about the MOST HIGHLY ANTICIPATED BOOKS OF FALL 2020. There are so many great books still being released – much to look forward to.
☞ One of the books that really delivered a punch lately was The Exiles by Christina Baker Kline. It’s a historical fiction novel, and the writing was beautiful, and the overall plot is based on real events which makes the book even more emotional.
☞ My last book recommendation list was about MUST READ SPORTS ROMANCE BOOKS – it’s one of my favorite tropes. So if you are like me, check them out, you might find a new favorite book.
☞ I also finally sat down and wrote reviews of two of my 5 star reads, both are YA contemporary, Making Faces by Amy Harmon and Ryan’s Bed by Tijan. Highly recommended books.
SUNDAY POST #2 / IT’S LOOKING UP
I am curious about It’s Been a Pleasure. Enjoy your week and your books, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
Thank you, same to you and I’m going to check out your Sunday Post asap!!!
I’m glad things are looking up! I’m waiting on that Tijan book, too.
Her books have become some of my most highly anticipated romance books of the year 😀
i loved this post!! it was so well organized, and JUST the right length!
Thank you 😊 and thanks for stopping by! Love to connect with other bloggers!
I have heard great things about Black Sun too! And I recall your love for Anne Bishop’s stories!
I got Black Sun from the library, it’s EPIC, I only started it and and can’t say much about it, but I know EPIC storylines usually take a long time for me to get comfortable.
Congrats on getting reviews written. I have a bad habit of procrastinating blog posts and then scrambling to get them done at the last minute. Have a great week!
It’s a habit. I finish a book, I write a review. And I can’t start a new book if I haven’t written the review yet. Makes me want to get them done in a good time.
