Little Secrets by Jennifer Hillier
Last year’s Jar of Hearts by Jennifer Hillier blew my mind! I couldn’t believe all the twists and turns throughout the novel, and I knew that this author would be going onto my tbr. Now a year later, I’m excited to say that Little Secrets only confirmed the author’s amazing skill in penning addictive thrillers.

All it takes to unravel a life is one little secret…
Marin had the perfect life. Married to her college sweetheart, she owns a chain of upscale hair salons, and Derek runs his own company. They’re admired in their community and are a loving family—until their world falls apart the day their son Sebastian is taken.
A year later, Marin is a shadow of herself. The FBI search has gone cold. The publicity has faded. She and her husband rarely speak. She hires a P.I. to pick up where the police left off, but instead of finding Sebastian, she learns that Derek is having an affair with a younger woman. This discovery sparks Marin back to life. She’s lost her son; she’s not about to lose her husband, too. Kenzie is an enemy with a face, which means this is a problem Marin can fix.
Permanently.

MY THOUGHTS
I’ll come straight out and say that the first chapter of Little Secrets was brutal on me. All the emotions that were coming toward me were hard to digest. A child kidnapping is just horrendous, in real life as well as in fiction.
Now to the rest of the book.
What made this book unique were the two female POV’s. It was amazing how the author switched between them, and managed to suck me into each POV. Both characters were highly developed and were very addictive to listen to. The characters inner voices were captivating, and their essence so clear and distinct. The author portrayed them perfectly.
The title promised lots of secrets, small and big and they just kept on coming.
I actually wouldn’t read any blurbs or reviews for this one, and just enjoy the ride. It’s much better this way. 😀
Overall the book was one of the fastest audiobooks I’ve listened to in a long time. I was glued to my phone, thrilled and entertained to no end.
Audiobook:
The audiobook was wonderful. Addicting from beginning to end, very well narrated and one of the fastest 10 hours, 33 minutes of my life!
I received a copy of this book from Minotaur Books for free.
My opinions have not been influenced by the publisher or the author.

This book sounds wonderful! I’m with you about child kidnappings though. Nice review!❤️
Oh man, I had such a hard time with the first chapter. Even knowing it was coming, it was still heartbreaking. Fortunately it was only the first chapter.
I read this one and enjoyed it, but I imagine the audiobook would have made it even more fun! Great review!
The audiobook was fantastic, and really had me sitting on the edge of my seat. I’ve been enjoying my thrillers on audio lately, and I can’t see it stopping anytime soon – lol.
Great review, it sounds dark but gripping!
I think gripping is definitely the right word to use 😀
Oh I loved this one too!
