RELATED: 10 CHRISTMAS ROMANCE NOVELS TO READ THIS YEAR

It’s the most wonderful time of the year…but not for Maelyn Jones. She’s living with her parents, hates her going-nowhere job, and has just made a romantic error of epic proportions.
But perhaps worst of all, this is the last Christmas Mae will be at her favorite place in the world—the snowy Utah cabin where she and her family have spent every holiday since she was born, along with two other beloved families. Mentally melting down as she drives away from the cabin for the final time, Mae throws out what she thinks is a simple plea to the universe: Please. Show me what will make me happy.
The next thing she knows, tires screech and metal collides, everything goes black. But when Mae gasps awake…she’s on an airplane bound for Utah, where she begins the same holiday all over again. With one hilarious disaster after another sending her back to the plane, Mae must figure out how to break free of the strange time loop—and finally get her true love under the mistletoe.
I never read a Christmas book in June before, but honestly, I couldn’t have picked a better one. In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren was sweet and comforting. The book gave me all the feels of sitting in front of a roaring fireplace, dressed in my favorite Christmas sweater and cozy socks, with a mug of decadent hot chocolate in my hands. It made me want to own a cabin in the woods, and have family Christmas get-togethers every year. It made me dream of the perfect Christmas!

BOOK REVIEW
MY THOUGHTS
There is really not much to say, except read it!!
The book gave me this cozy feel of everything will be perfect one day. It will all work out, you just have to wish for it.
In a Holidaze is the perfect Christmas read with a dash of something more.
And the way the cabin was described, and how they all came together to celebrate and spent time together was magic. Wonderfully Christmasish! I wanted it all RIGHT THEN! The traditions, the connections, the love, and the tender moments, and especially the cabin!
Have I mentioned the cabin yet?? If not, it was a dream of coziness, and told the story of family get-togethers, of roaring fireplaces and game nights. Of baking together and sleeping in bunkbeds. A beloved vacation home that brought all the families together, year in and year out.
The characters were wonderful, all of them. They made me want to be adopted. The tender love and support, the loyalty, history and life long connections, the fun and laughter felt so wonderfully REAL!!! You’ll want to be a part of it!
In a Holidaze is probably the authors’ most feel good and uplifting novel yet. It’s cheerful, touching, funny, all in all a wonderful romance for any season.
A big thumbs up from me!!

In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren | BOOK REVIEW
I’m so excited to read this one in December!! ❤
Robin, waiting to read this until December is such a good idea!!!!
This one really was uplifting and feel good. It put a smile on my face and made me ready for Christmas in August. LOL I might have to do a re-read in December. Great review!
Right? It was so strange reading it at a time when it was warm and summery 😀
I cannot wait to read this one! It’s so hard to really get into the holiday spirit here in Miami because it’s still hot in December — we get occasional cold fronts here and there — so I’ll take all the holiday vibes I can get and this book looks like it’ll be prefect for the season.
Wait a couple more month!! I spent one Christmas in Florida, years ago, and it was still pretty much summery, but it’s the same here in CA. Sun and warm temperatures all year round. It’s hard to get into the holiday spirit this way.
this is such a great post! you have a STUNNING blog!!
OMG thank you!!!! ?
Adding but closer to Christmas LOL
I agree, if you wait with it until December it will give you the holiday feel!
So, so excited to read In a Holidaze, but I think I’m going to wait until November or December when I really need some cozy, holiday feels 🙂
I was wondering why they didn’t release it closer to December. It will make a great holiday novel.
I have this ARC but I really wanted to wait closer to the holidays to read it. Obviously, I can’t because it comes out a lot sooner. I wonder why!! Glad you enjoyed it though!
I thought the timing was strange too, it would have made an awesome December release. Many readers have already said they’ll wait until closer to the holidays to read it.
Yeah, the book looks like it’s so Christmas-y with the cover too. So strange!!
