I GOT NOMINATED / BLOGGER AWARDS
Hi everyone, it’s time to answer some questions.
I finally had some time to tackle all the nominations and tags I accumulated over the last few months. And I also decided to post all three tags in one long blog posts. So, apologies for a longer post today.
2020 has been a great blogging year, and the best thing besides reading is making new friends who love to read as much as I do. That’s why these nominations and tags mean so much to me. It’s an honor to be tagged!
I had a great time answering all of the questions and making up my own. And if you want to participate, just let me know below and I’ll tag you.

Sunshine Blogger Award
What is The Sunshine Blogger Award?
The Sunshine Blogger Award is given to those who are creative, positive and inspiring while spreading sunshine to the blogging community.
Rules:
- Thank the blogger who nominated you and link back to their blog.
- Answer the 11 questions the blogger asked you.
- Nominate 11 new blogs to receive the award and write them 11 new questions.
- List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award in your post/or on your blog.
Leslie, thank you so much for nominating me!! I had so much fun answering these questions, also I apologize in advance for the video and quote – lol.
Leslie’s Questions:
- What is something you are doing to help keep you sane throughout this crazy time?
Reading and Netflix. Reading has always been the one thing that helps me escape, relax, and recharge. But this year I’ve also enjoyed bing watching shows like The Queen’s Gambit and Schitt’s Creek.
- What is your least favorite genre & why?
Historical fiction, YA fantasy and horror. Besides my dislike for horror, which would keep me from sleeping, I have no explanation why I struggle so much with historical fiction and YA fantasy
- What is a favorite word? (like mine is Catawampus!)
The f-word. Definitely the f-word! And Oopsala – lol. I use Oopsala all the time, but try to curb my habit of using the f-word. But it’s a struggle.
Here is an ode to my favorite word – also the video below is CULT!!!!
Perhaps one of the most interesting words
In the English language today is the word fuck
Out of all the English words that begin with the letter “f”
Fuck is the only word that is referred to as the “f”word
It’s the one magical word
Just by it’s sound can describe pain, pleasure, hate and love
Fuck, as most words in the English language, is derived for German
the word “fleckin” which means to strike
In English fuck falls into many grammatical categories
As a transitive verb for instance
“John fucked Shirley.”
As an intransitive verb
“Shirley fucks.”
Its meanings not always sexual
It can be used as an adjective as in
“John’s doing all the fucking work.”
As an adverb
“Shirley talks too fucking much.”
As an adverb enhancing an adjective
“Shirley is fucking beautiful!”
As a noun
“I don’t give a fuck!”
As a part of a word
“Absofuckinglutly!”
or
“Infuckincredible!”
And as almost every word in the sentence
“Fuck the fucking fuckers.”
But you must realize that there aren’t too many words
With the versatility of fuck
As in these examples describing situations such as
Fraud
“I got fucked at the used car lot.”
Dismay
“Ah fuck it!”
Trouble
“I guess I’m really fucked now.”
Aggression
“Don’t fuck with me buddy”
Difficulty
“I don’t understand this fucking question”
Inquiry
“Who the fuck was that?”
Dissatisfaction
“I don’t like what the fuck is going on here.”
Incompetence
“He’s a fuck off”
Dismissal
“Why don’t you go outside and play hide-and-go fuck yourself?”
I’m sure you can think of many more examples
With all of these multipurpose applications
How can anyone be offended when you use the word?
We say use this unique, flexible word more often in your daily speech
It will identify the quality of your character immediately
Say it loudly and proudly!
FUCK YOU

Thank you Samantha & Amber for tagging me, it’s been a pleasure!
Samantha & Amber’s questions:
- What’s the worst book sin you’ve ever committed?
Ok, I was a true BOOK MONSTER when I was younger! No doubt about it. I broke spines intentionally for easier reading (oh how it hurts me to admit this). And yes, I bent the corners of the pages too.
- What’s your favourite book accessory that you own?
I love my book sleeves and bookmarks but honestly I rarely use them.
- Do you think audiobooks count as reading?
ABSOFUCKINGLUETLY!!!!!!
- If you’re a writer do you use writing prompts to get inspiration?
Sadly, I’m not a writer.
- If you could rewrite the ending to any book, what would it be?
Sometimes it’s not the ending that needs rewriting, it’s the entire plot.
- Would you prefer to meet your favourite author or favourite character? Also, who are they and what would you do with them?
I’ve had the pleasure of meeting some of my unicorn authors already. But there are some I could listen to for hours – Brandon Sanderson is one of them. He is actually a professor, and being one of his students has to be phenomenal.
- What are you currently reading?
I’m almost done with the audiobook for Surrender Your Sons by Adam Sass, and I hope I can finish reading Written in the Stars by Alexandria Bellefleur this weekend.
MY QUESTIONS:

I’m not proud of it, but boy do I love using it 😂
Congratulations on all of your nominations I would have to say the f word is my most used word too!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! And so happy to have found someone else who loves the f-word as much as I do 😀
Oooo I love reading this blogging awards posts, there are so many wonderful questions asked and reading everyone’s answers is fun 😊
I had a wonderful time answering the questions, coming up with my own took some time – lol
Congrats and thanks for the tag Corina! And…I love YA fantasy and historical fiction and don’t like the f* word that much in biiks LOL
lol – oh boy, sounds like we can’t be friends anymore……..
Looking forward to your answers 😀
Thank you so much for the nomination. I would absolutely love to sit in on one of Sanderson’s talks. I feel like it would be such a fascinating insight into his writing process. I feel the same about bookish merch. They look great, but sadly, I rarely use them.
He is such a fascinating writer, and when he starts talking time flies. I wish I would use my bookmarks more often, but maybe I can work on that in the future.
You’re welcome! I’m looking forward to your post 😊
Loved reading all the answers to these questions!! I never knew Sanderson was a professor and had videos on writing until recently. I love him as a writer and would love to sit in on one of his lectures. I am also a fan of the ‘f’ word. Really, what other words have so many uses haha. Italy is also my favourite place to travel, specifically Florence, and I cannot wait until I can go back. Congrats on the other nominations! – Amber
Amber, it’s such a pleasure to meet another person who loves the f-word as much as I do :D. I understand why people move for one semester to Provo just to be his student, also it’s apparently hard to get into his class – which I can understand – lol. I haven’t seen much of Italy yet, I’ve been to Rome, and we spent summer vacations at the Italian Riviera and Adria but otherwise I’ve still have tons to discover.
I just started watching his lectures on YouTube and I understand now too! I also love that he posts those lectures for free for people to watch who otherwise could not make his class. I wish more authors shared their knowledge like that. – Amber
Wow, I did not know that! I heard that it’s hard to get into his class. Writers have to submit their writing etc – but posting it online for free is very kind.
Yay!!! So glad you did this. I loved your answers. Omg.. the F word really is just so good. hahaha!! I LOVE Schitt’s Creek!! Currently re-watching it again!! <3
Thanks for the tag!
Thank you so much for tagging me Corina! I suck at keeping up with tags, but I promise I’ll try to do it.
I use the f-word all the time too! 😂😂😂
I really love bookmarks, as soon as I pick the books for my monthly TBR I put a bookmark in each one of them. And I love book sleeves too, I always take a book to work so it’s handy. 😊
If I don’t write them down in a note I wouldn’t have kept up with them either:D
And OMG I love the idea of putting bookmarks into book right away – that’s such a fantastic idea!!! And I bring my Kindle everywhere I go 😆 no sleeve needed
