Pip is not a detective anymore.
With the help of Ravi Singh, she released a true-crime podcast about the murder case they solved together last year. The podcast has gone viral, yet Pip insists her investigating days are behind her.
But she will have to break that promise when someone she knows goes missing. Jamie Reynolds has disappeared, on the very same night the town hosted a memorial for the sixth-year anniversary of the deaths of Andie Bell and Sal Singh.
The police won’t do anything about it. And if they won’t look for Jamie then Pip will, uncovering more of her town’s dark secrets along the way… and this time everyone is listening. But will she find him before it’s too late?

GOOD GIRL, BAD BLOOD BY HOLLY JACKSON AUDIOBOOK REVIEW
I love a well performed audiobook. It can be even more entertaining and enthralling as the book itself. Also, especially if the book is a mystery it’s often unputdownable. Last year’s THE NIGHT SWIM was incredible well done, and the author’s debut novel A GOOD GIRL’S GUIDE TO MURDER was one of the best produced audiobooks of 2020.
GOOD GIRL, BAD BLOOD was as good as I hoped it would be. And that’s quite the feat because sequels are not easy to do. But again Holly Jackson delivered a nail biting story about a race against time. A mystery which was different to her debut novel, but equally thrilling and well done.
Pip managed to surprise me with her strength, and personal growth. It was realistic for her to be apprehensive about being involved in a second case. Being in the spotlight took a toll on her. But she is also someone who can’t just ignore people in need, especially if the police isn’t helping.
I also loved that I got more Pip and Ravi time. The author does their romance so well without taking away from the mystery but still showing how much these two like and understand each other. I was impressed by how well these two aspects were intertwined.
The timeline between the first and the second book was surprisingly close, it even overlapped a little since the first case was on trial at the time of this story. It was an unexpected but wonderful way of bringing both books together.
Honestly the book couldn’t have been any better done. There were so many layers to the mystery, too many for me to easily guess what was coming next. Again, the author did a fabulous job and I can’t wait to read the next case later this year.
