FEBRUARY GOALS: MY BOOKISH TO DO LIST

Do you make monthly tbrs?
I love making tbrs but I’m also horrible at them. Honestly, I’m the worst kind of mood reader and a tbr rarely works for me. The right time and mood is key, and sometimes what I’ve planned for the month isn’t realistic. But I still love making them – lol.
And I love to check my progress. Because in the end a tbr is a guideline for me and nothing more. And it’s fun to see how I’m doing. And thanks to Robin at Paperbacks and Planners I got the idea of just planning it out at the beginning of the month, and checking at the end of the month to see how I did.
Maybe I’ll surprise myself. Maybe not. Either way it will be fun.
I read 15 books in January, let’s see how many I’ll read in February.
So let’s get started….
FEBRUARY GOALS: MY BOOKISH TO DO LIST
OVERDRIVE AUDIOBOOKS
I always have tons of audiobooks on my Overdrive app and I rarely get to all of them in time. But I hope I’ll get to the three below.
Furia by Yamile Saied Méndez
The Falling in Love Montage by Ciara Smyth
The Escape Room by Megan Goldin

NETGALLEY ARCS
I have currently 17 ARCS on my NetGalley shelf, Books (13) and Audiobooks (4) and I would love to read at least 5 of them in February.
Namesake Adrienne Young
Malibu Rising Taylor Jenkins Reid
Perfect on Paper Sophie Gonzales
Quiet in Her Bones Nalini Singh
The Ex Talk Rachel Lynn Solomon

NEW RELEASES
New releases are often on the very top of my tbr, and I know I will drop whatever I’m reading to read either of these.
Faithless in Death by J.D. Robb
Nate by Tijan

21 Books I Want to Read in 2021
This is a brand-new challenge, a big thanks to Robin at Paperbacks and Planners for the inspiration. It’s a great way to challenge myslf to read the backlist books that have been on my tbr the longest, or have been pushed from one month to the next, or from 2020 to 2021. Either way, I hope I made a dent into this list by the end of the year.
I’ll Meet You There by Heather Demetrios

POPSUGAR READING CHALLENGE
I read managed to read 6 books in this challenge. My hopes are hight that I’ll be able to finish this challenge this year. New year new chance.
An Afrofuturist book Ring Shout
A book that has the same title as a song Layla
A book set in multiple countries The Queen’s Gambit
A book you think your best friend would like The Turncoat King
Your favourite prompt from a past POPSUGAR Reading Challenge
2018 – Next Book in series – Wild Sign
The shortest book (by pages) on your TBR list After The Fall: A collection of Matt and Abby short stories

FEBRUARY GOALS: MY BOOKISH TO DO LIST
I LOVE this!! I can’t wait to see your wrap up at the end of the month! 😍❤ I really want to read Namesake this month if I can too
We’ll see how far I got 😂 Namesake is on the very top of my tbr, can’t wait to start on it
I definitely have monthly TBRs based on reviews I need to get to at least NetGalley. There are some good books on you TBR for this month. Happy reading!
Thank you – I hope I’ll get to at least some of them 😂
I just finished reading Quiet in Her Bones and it was really good! I hope you like it! The Ex Talk is one of my favorite reads of the year.
Good luck with your goals!
I’m looking forward to both 😊
I used to make TBR’s but have been terrible at keeping them. This year, I’m not doing that at all!! I’m just doing whatever sounds good and it’s quite freeing. Besides the ARC’s and stuff… those I can’t really just do what I want. haha. I really hope to read Namesake this month!! I need to get on that. I got 5 books for PopSugar. I’m not even going to attempt the AtoZ. Only so many years that I want to struggle with the hard letters. lol
I didn’t try the AtoZ either, but I hope I have a better time with my Popsugar challenge this year. Do you have a list for your Popsugar challenge books?
I hope so too. I do love that the advanced ones are all on our own TBR! I do have a list planned out of books that I want to read for most of the prompts. I think I still need to fill a few. I have already changed it several times though. A few of the KU books I’ve been reading the last few months fit some of the prompts. Do you have a list?
I can’t believe we are days away from NATE!!! I need to get a couple of books read before then so I can jump right in.
I love that you’re putting this TBR out there. It made me think about mine. I have The Idea of You (Lee) and The Friend Zone (Jimenez) on Overdrive audio to listen to. Then I have 5 on my NG shelf to take care of. I actually just finished The Ex Talk myself. It has a great Seattle vibe.
Can’t wait to see what u think of Namesake!!! I loved fable so much 😍 I also need to start reading Tijans books …. keep seeing them EVERYWHERE. Awesome post 🥰
Did you already read Namesake??? I’m excited. And yes, Tijan is a must read author 😁
So many of these on my shelf, too. I’m in my library queue for Faithless in Death. It says 12 but I won’t know until tomorrow if I’ll get it right away. All but two of your ARCs are on my list to listen to, also.
Enjoy everything, Corina💜
I just got The Escape Room by Megan Goldin’s audiobook. Good luck with your February goals! 🙂
Thank you and happy listening!!! I really loved her 2020 release, The Night Swim, it was SO GOOD!!
