Favorite April 2020 releases
April 2020 was a month of many great releases, and I personally can recommend five of them. There are actually a few more that have been released, but I haven’t had the chance to read them yet. I hope I’ll get to them soon.
But until then, here are the five that made an impression on me.
All are easy, and light hearted novels. Some are more heart-warming and touching than others. But all are equally uplifting and entertaining.
MY APRIL 2020 RECOMMENDATIONS
The Happy Ever After Playlist | by Abby Jimenez | 4.25 ★ | ? |

This is a crowd pleaser!!!
This rom-com, part rockstar romance caught me by surprise, but only in the best way.
It has everything I love about this trope, the banter, one of the best meet-cutes, a canine side-kick and a couple with chemistry and a real connection.
A Bad Day for Sunshine (Sunshine Vicram, #1) | by Darynda Jones | 4 ★ | ? |

This one was one FUN audiobook.
Fun, a bit crazy, entertaining and a pretty good mystery too.
If you love an ongoing series about a recurring cast, with LOL moments, and wonderfully sketched out characters, this is the series for you.
The Love Story of Missy Carmichael | by Beth Morrey | 4.25 ★ | ? |

Loved this book!!!
It was heart-warming, endearing, charming (just love the Britishness) and touching. It made me laugh and smile, and shed tears. Honestly, this book was way more than I expected, and can only recommend it to anyone that loves a delightful and engaging story. And let’s not forget the cast, which was just wonderful and pulled me right in.
Where the Lost Wander | by Amy Harmon | 5 ★ | ? |

The book has so much to offer!!
All the STARS!
WOW!! This book was amazing! Stunning writing, based on facts, build around a most beautiful love-story. It was enchanting from beginning to end.
A MUST READ for any historical romance reader, as well as historical fiction fan.
The Big Finish | by Brooke Fossey | 5 ★ | ? |

LOVED this cast so much!
I shed tears, I’m not going to lie, but I also laughed, and smiled so much reading this book. Wonderful debut novel. Touching story. Heartwarming, uplifting and moving.
I bet it would make a great audiobook.
And if you loved A Man Called Ove, give this one a chance.
I must admit that April is pretty hard to beat, for me personally, but I’m looking forward to May, and all its books.

What were some of your favorite April reads?
Favorite April 2020 releases
My favorite books in April were – The Priory of the orange tree, Autoboyography, The memories we bury
LOVED Autoboyography!!! It was so good, and so well researched too. I really want to read The Priory of the Orange Tree but I’m also so intimidated by the sheer size. It would be my first book by the author.
I really liked The Happy Ever After Playlist and Not That Kind of Guy ?
So happy you enjoyed THEAP too 😀 I have Not That Kind of Guy on my tbr – hope I can get to it soon.
One of my favorite April releases was also The Happy Ever After Playlist -I loved it and had me crying and laughing at all times. I loved Sloan and Jason.
I hope you have great reads in May?
THEAP was fantastic!! It’s a book for any recommendation list. The joy and laughter, and the author did a marvelous job with the couple. I’m really excited to see what she comes up with next.
Thanks for sharing your April favorites! I am looking forward to that Amy Harmon book.
Thank you ?, and I can’t wait for you to read it!!!
Everyone I know has been loving The Happy Ever After playlist – I’m going to have to pick it up!
Last year’s The Friend Zone was EVERYWHERE, and I mean EVERYWHERE. You couldn’t find a reader who hadn’t read it. I personally didn’t enjoy it as much, but I wanted to give her second book a chance, and it seems that most everyone loves THEAP, even more than TFZ. Happy reading!! Let me know how it goes, would love to hear your thoughts.
cna’t wait for more from Abby Jimenez!! two back to back great books. loved it, too. – H
I agree, it’s exciting to see where she is going from here.
I have only heart GOOD things about Where The Lost Wander and have it waiting for me on my kindle. I can’t wait to grab it up. Glad you had such a fun time with all of these here.
I really loved Kerrelyn Sparks new book The Siren and the Deep Blue Sea.
I hope you’ll love it!! The book was right up my alley and reminded me of all the historical romances that were set in the US during that time – I loved them all!
I’m going to check out Kerrelyn Sparks’s book, I don’t think I ever read any of her books.
The Happy Ever After Playlist sounds really fun!
It’s a book I would recommend to any romance reader. Well written, well rounded, funny, witty – it has it all. 😀
Tools of Engagement, Yours to Keep and You Deserve Each Other were definite 5 star reads for me in April!
I have You Deserve Each Other on my tbr for maybe this month, it depends. But I’m going to check out the rest – I love finding new authors – so thanks for the recs!!
I’m really looking forward to picking up Harmon’s book!
I would love for you to read it – please let me know if you do 😀
