RELATED: BEST MM BOOKS

Three years ago, Tanner Scott’s family relocated from California to Utah, a move that nudged the bisexual teen temporarily back into the closet. Now, with one semester of high school to go, and no obstacles between him and out-of-state college freedom, Tanner plans to coast through his remaining classes and clear out of Utah.
But when his best friend Autumn dares him to take Provo High’s prestigious Seminar—where honor roll students diligently toil to draft a book in a semester—Tanner can’t resist going against his better judgment and having a go, if only to prove to Autumn how silly the whole thing is. Writing a book in four months sounds simple. Four months is an eternity.
It turns out, Tanner is only partly right: four months is a long time. After all, it takes only one second for him to notice Sebastian Brother, the Mormon prodigy who sold his own Seminar novel the year before and who now mentors the class. And it takes less than a month for Tanner to fall completely in love with him.
Standing ovation!! Honestly, this book deserves an award for an amazingly crafted plot. Autoboygraphy was my first CLO book and I couldn’t have picked a better one. The writing, the story, the characters – they were all so good!! If you are interested in reading more PRIDE books this month/year, this one is a fabulous edition to anyone’s tbr.

BOOK REVIEW
MY THOUGHTS
Think about this for a moment…
A half jewish, half mormon bi-sexual boy falls in love with his writing TA, who is the son of a mormon bishop – it couldn’t have been any more complicated.
From the very beginning the emotional tension and the forbidden attraction between Tanner and Sebastian jumped off the pages. It simmered and was palpable in each sentence, paragraph and chapter. Tanner’s emotions were heartbreakingly real, heart-felt and deeply touching. His thoughts and his feelings towards Sebastian had me sighing and rooting for the couple like crazy. What a genius idea to put two characters with such profoundly different backgrounds on a path of no return .
One family was extremely supportive – the other was rooted deeply in a religious belief system that doesn’t allow homosexuality.
I was prepared for heart-break. I girded my loins and hoped for the best. Surprisingly – and that’s another reason to applaud the author – I LOVED it all, including the heartbreak. The story was emotional, REAL, heart-felt, and immensely touching.
Anyway, I thought that Autoboyography was incredibly well written and needs to be read. It was equally romantic and emotionally touching, as well as real and authentic.
For me, what made this book so special is the clash between Tanner’s liberal upbringing in California and Sebastian’s mormon background. Sebastian’s journey, even though we didn’t get his POV until very late in the book was the more profound one for me. His struggle to find himself after meeting Tanner broke my heart.
And now, after I’ve read many of their standalone books, Autoboyography is without a doubt one of their best books yet.

I did feel the same! And I think I even talked to the authors about it once and if I remember correctly one of them lives/lived in Utah, which really helped with authenticity.
That’s cool!
