Nalini Singh returns to the world of the Guild Hunters for the most highly anticipated novel of the beloved series—a love story so epic it’s been half a millennia in the making…
Illium and Aodhan. Aodhan and Illium. For centuries they’ve been inseparable: the best of friends, closer than brothers, companions of the heart. But that was before—before darkness befell Aodhan and shattered him, body, mind, and soul. Now, at long last, Aodhan is healing, but his new-found strength and independence may come at a devastating cost—his relationship with Illium.
As they serve side by side in China, a territory yet marked by the evil of its former archangel, the secret it holds nightmarish beyond imagining, things come to an explosive decision point. Illium and Aodhan must either walk away from the relationship that has defined them—or step forward into a future that promises a bond infinitely precious in the life of an immortal…but that demands a terrifying vulnerability from two badly bruised hearts.

ARCHANGEL’S LIGHT BY NALINI SINGH
BOOK REVIEW
I received a copy of this book from the publisher for free in exchange for an honest review. My opinions have not been influenced by the publisher or the author.
It’s no secret that I love this series. I love it even more than the PSY/Changeling one. It’s also no surprise that I’ve been rooting for llium and Aodhan ever since the very first sign that there could be something more. I’m also a huge fan of MM ROMANCE, so this book is a trifecta for me.
In the end ARCHANGEL’S LIGHT was the perfect story for llium and Aodhan, no doubt about it.
llium and Aodha always had this epic friendship, spanning hundreds of years, enduring hardship, but never wavering or becoming less. They are each other’s rock. Each other’s heart. Through many glimpses into the past the author shows how they grew up together, learned, played and relied on each other. One is not complete without the other, and it’s palpable throughout this book.
Their story, their romance is a slow burn, and rather tame for anyone who enjoys MM romances. But it doesn’t take away from the feelings that come alive on these pages.
llium and Aodha, both had some growing up to do. Neither knew where they stood after the last couple books, and it showed by the tension between them. It’s a healthy tension, a storm that brought revelations, and feelings to the forefront. And ultimately a healing for both of them.
I loved llium and Aodha as best of friends, and now as the beginning of something more. It just fits. Fits the story and their characters. How can there be an llium without Aodha next to him? It’s how they started out, and it’s how they go into he future. A future we hopefully read more about in books to come.
In all of this, ARCHANGEL’S LIGHT was incredibly satisfying – if not as sexy, hot and steamy as I hoped for – lol.
But I’m sure that anyone who loves this series, will fall in love with their epic friendship and their journey to something more.

Archangel’s Light by Nalini Singh | BOOK REVIEW | (Guild Hunter #14)
What a great review you have of this one here, I was really looking forward to your thoughts on it especially. I was surprised by the low heat myself, but I loved it completely. Singh really worked her magic with this one for sure. I have a feeling though we will see more of them in the future. But seeing their journey was so worth the wait.
