I thought I’ll take the opportunity and compile all of the romance novels that gave me book hangovers. The romance books that received the highest stars. Romance novels that were perfection in every sense.
The books below are the rare kind of books I would recommend to ANYONE.

Him by Sarina Bowen, Elle Kennedy

4.33 avg rating — 26,459 ratings — published 2015
This is probably the most romantic MM book I ever read. It’s hard to top these two books, and you’ll fall in love with the couple, it’s inevitable. The books are also especially good for anyone wanting to try MM but is still hesitant. This is the perfect BEGINNER MM novel. High on the romance, and the romantic FEEL.
Amour Amour by Krista Ritchie, Becca Ritchie

If you are interested in anything Circus and Cirque du Soleil, you need to read this book. It was SO good, and gave me all the feels. I’ve read it a couple times, and I’m still as enamored with it as I was when I read it the first time.
Worth the Fall by Claudia Connor

The McKinney Brothers Series #1
ONE OF MY MOST FAVORITE SINGLE PARENTS ROMANCE
4.15 avg rating — 16,291 ratings — published 2014
Wow, this book is one of my ALL TIME FAVORITES! A soldier on vacation, falling in love with a pregnant single mom with FOUR children. There is so much cuteness in this book. So much tenderness. I turn into goo every time I read it, and I read it OFTEN!! Kids in romances are my weakness – love the interactions and the adorable factor – just saying.
The Five Stages of Falling in Love by Rachel Higginson

ONE OF MY MOST FAVORITE SINGLE PARENTS ROMANCE
4.24 avg rating — 6,358 ratings — published 2015
Another romance with kids. Widow with kids, reluctantly falling in love with her neighbor. It’s very emotional at times, but that doesn’t keep me from rereading it. And I love the slow but steady falling in love that’s happening between the couple.
Regretting You by Colleen Hoover

4.27 avg rating — 47,148 ratings — published 2019
Oh boy, I was amazed by this book. The story is a mix between the mother’s and daughters falling in love and I adored it all! The FEELS were amazing, the way the story was put together was fantastic – just overall, an outstanding job by the author. Sidenote: this is only my second book by this author, but I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who has NOT read the author’s books yet. It’s a great book to start with.
Wait for It by Mariana Zapata

ONE OF MY MOST FAVORITE SINGLE PARENTS ROMANCE
4.25 avg rating — 34,164 ratings — published 2016
One of my all time favorite romances. I’ve read this book countless time. Again, it has kids in it. It’s SLOW BURN. It has a great hero, the guy next door, that just blew me away. It was the perfect combination of fantastic scenes that were so true to life I could see myself in them. All in all the perfect combination of all the things I love in a romance.
The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood

4.40 avg rating — 299,343 ratings — published 2021
Oh man, I fell heads over heels in love with this book. Loved everything about it, and have already re-read it. It’s as perfect as it gets to what I love and enjoy in a romance novel. A fun and strong heroine, a grumpy and brooding hero, and a chemistry that just works for them. A MUST READ for anyone loving this genre. You won’t regret it, all my friends and even my sister gave it the thumps up!!!
Gifts by Brynne Asher

The Killers Series #3
4.44 avg rating — 1,913 ratings — published 2017
Up for some Alpha males anyone? If yes, you better check this one out. It has kids, animals including GOATS. An alpha male, a can-do heroine, and some suspense that kept me glued to the pages. I’ve read it twice so far – and it’s still as good as it was the first time around. 😀
Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren

4.22 avg rating — 25,498 ratings — published 2018
THIS ONE!!!! BEST Christina Lauren book. It’s AMAZING in every way.
The books starts as YA, and it portrays this most beautiful connection between two teenagers, just beautiful. Until they meet as adults again, and the feelings just JUMP off the pages. I was blown away by it.
The Search by Nora Roberts

4.14 avg rating — 47,435 ratings — published 2010
My most favorite romantic suspense novel by the QUEEN Nora Roberts. The book I read at least once a year. The book that I compare all of her other books with. The one and only!!
If you love dogs (lots of them), a dog training heroine who knows what she wants, and a grumpy artist hero who falls in love without wanting to, you’ll love this book.
The Flatshare by Beth O’Leary

4.13 avg rating — 66,796 ratings — published 2019
If you love a romance that’s more than just a romance, this book is for you. I can’t tell you enough how much I adore this book. The unique situation, the post-it notes, the secondary characters, the subplots – all of it makes for one unforgettable novel.
Look the Part by Jewel E. Ann

ONE OF MY MOST FAVORITE SINGLE PARENTS ROMANCE
4.29 avg rating — 14,195 ratings — published 2018
This is the ONLY novel I ever gave 6 STARS. It was powerful. Emotional. Funny. All the things I love in a romance. Wonderful banter. A child that I fell in love with instantly and a couple that just clicked. The book is without a doubt one of my most recommended romances.
Wild at Heart (Wild, #2) by K.A. Tucker

Wild Series #2
4.37 avg rating — 5,940 ratings — published 2020
Although this book is the second in a duet, and yes, you will have to read THE SIMPLE WILD first, this book owns my heart! I’ve read it TWICE in a two month period – that’s how much I adore it all.
And if you love Alaska, the wilderness, but also the authentic feel of it, and a grumpy hero and a sassy city girl – you’ll fall in love with Calla and the Yeti in NO TIME!! Just have some tissues ready for The Simple Wild.
Rock Bottom Girl by Lucy Score

ONE OF MY MOST FAVORITE SINGLE PARENTS ROMANCE
4.42 avg rating — 7,077 ratings — published 2019
One of my most favorite rom-com. I don’t have many that I enjoy, but this one checked all my boxes. A mix of sports romance/underdog, and a teacher/coach romance. The banter was fantastic, the lol moments not too outlandish, just right – it hits all my spots. And became an instant favorite.

Happy reading and have a wonderful day!!
I haven’t read any of these. My favorite romance are – Autoboyography, One Week ’Til Christmas, Well Met, and Love is What You Bake of it.
I read and enjoyed Autoboyography, and Well Met 😀 I’m going to check out the other two of your recs
ooohhh.. what a brillaint list! I always always pick up a historical romance when I need to take a break and that’s exactly what I doing rt now??
Thank you ?, also if you love historical romances you need to give Where the Lost Wander a chance
Yup, will give that a go.?
Iloved Worth the Fall, Where the Lost Wander and The Flatshare!
All three are SO GOOD!!! I can’t tell you how often I’ve read Worth The Fall, I actually just recently re-read it because I was bored – lol.
I just borrowed Worth the Fall and The 5 Stages of Falling in Love from my library after reading this list. I have read Higginson before, but not Connor. I’m excited to try a new author! Great list!
OMG – now I’m getting nervous 😀
Enjoy them both, and I hope they work for you ??
I have read others you have recommended, and you have not steered me wrong yet. 😉
So much pressure ?
Great list! I put off reading that Zapata book for so long and ended up loving it. I also love The Flatshare. And I love Amy Harmon books. Making Faces is my favorite of hers.
Sometimes I put books off and then they become favorites, and Making Faces is a favorite of hers too, but now has to share the top spot with Where The Lost Wander ? , are you excited about the new Zapata book?
I am excited for it! I’m hoping it publishes over the next couple weeks when I still have KU for free!
me too ? I think my KU is running out in August, but her books I wouldn’t mind buying so it wouldn’t be a huge deal if my KU membership would run out beforehand.
I’m really cheap so I only end up buying a small hand full of books a year. I don’t know what I would do without the library or netgalley!
Call it being on a budget 😀 I’m on a book buying budget ALL YEAR ROUND – lol
And I feel you, my libraries are my lifesavers and without them and NetGalley I wouldn’t be reading as much as I do.
So many favorites in this list ?
haha, glad we have favorite books in common 😀
I ADORE Love and Other Words. Omg sobbed like a baby through it. This is a great list ??❤️☺️???
Thank you ☺️ Love and Other Words is definitely my favorite book by CLo
I have several of these on my TBR, but will have to see about some of the others. Great list.
